Zack Bishop

Chief Operating Officer

Zack Bishop is chief operating officer for Pinnacle. He is responsible for building and executing a comprehensive technology, operations and security strategy for the firm.

Bishop previously served as head of technology, operations and security at Synovus. Before joining the bank in 2018, he served as executive vice president and chief information and security officer of Renasant Bank and led all digital operations, including technology, infrastructure, mobile and online banking, information security, and other internet and operating functions. Bishop also had primary responsibility for integrating the technology and systems of numerous acquired banks.

Before joining Renasant in 2013, he held senior leadership positions in technology, operations, mergers and acquisitions, and digital innovation for Regions Bank. Bishop began his banking career in 1994 at Union Planters Bank in Memphis.

Active in the community, Bishop sits on the board of the Technology Association of Georgia. He serves as chair of the Mid-Size Bank Coalition of America’s Chief Operating Officer Committee and Coalition Tech Council and participates on numerous fintech advisory boards.
